Tips to Remember the Months

Spanish month names look very similar to English — that’s great news!

  1. Listen and repeat – Say each month aloud three times a day. Focus on the Spanish “r”.
  2. Group by seasons – Learn them in chunks:
    • Winter: diciembre, enero, febrero
    • Spring: marzo, abril, mayo
    • Summer: junio, julio, agosto
    • Autumn: septiembre, octubre, noviembre
  3. Make it personal – Use months in Spanish to describe your life:
Mi cumpleaños es en abril. | Navidad es en diciembre.
  4. Visual memory – Use Spanish calendars or sticky notes on your desk or wall.

With just a few minutes of daily practice, you’ll soon be saying all the months in Spanish naturally.
