I’m not a linguist or language teacher, but I’ve learned 6 languages as a self-taught adult and documented my methods in several language learning books. Since 2018, I’ve been sharing honest experiences and tested strategies on Learn-A-New-Language.eu.

📚 Language Learning Author

Over more than 20 years of language learning, I’ve published several books on core vocabulary and self-study methods, some of them under other author names. My first book to appear explicitly under my author name Sven Mancini is planned for 2026.

Sven Mancini is my pen name, not my legal name. When my first language learning books were released more than ten years ago, I made a deliberate choice to publish under a pseudonym, and I’ve kept that choice ever since.

The reason is simple. I have a family, children, and a private life that has nothing to do with my work around languages. Anyone who searches for my legal name shouldn’t find my full publication history, my course reviews, and my opinions on language learning apps. And my readers shouldn’t end up on private photos or family profiles when they’re actually looking for a Norwegian recommendation.

Because I publish under Sven Mancini and under other author names in parallel, I keep these presences deliberately separate. On Learn-A-New-Language.eu you’ll find everything I publish and test as Sven Mancini. I don’t share details about my other book projects here, on purpose.

I don’t claim to be a linguist or a language scientist. I’m a self-taught language learner with more than 20 years of practice. What I share is what actually worked for me, and what I recommend after documented testing of what others have built. The pen name doesn’t change any of that.
